Paper for pennies.
Water for billions.
I am so lucky to be apart of the inaugural team that helped start Folia Water. In my time there, I was able to learn how to design and scale a product. Below is the public portfolio during my two years.
As an environmental engineer, I innovated new ways the product could be used in different cultural contexts, making both the paper and the culturally appropriate devices to hold the paper. Then, I helped pilot field studies to gather consumer insights about the viability, feasibility, and desirability of the filtration device as well as testing water purification capabilities.
In addition, I was instrumental in building Folia's brand. In addition to working on the logo and packaging design, I worked on creating educational material pictorially and in multiple languages to help educate users on safe water, sanitation, and hygiene practices.
Additionally, I created the videos below and the brochure seen here.
